Occupation:

The Rock Slinger (the legal kind) aka Bad Mother Trucker at Wittkopf Enterprises (I am the third generation of a family owned business my grandpa started in 1942)

Tell us about your fitness journey, and how you came to Farmgirlfit:

I was a two sport collegiate athlete (Volleyball and Basketball) until I dislocated my knee sophomore year. I then struggled to find something with the competition level I craved. I started running as many races as I could find. I completed my first half marathon in 2012, but soon got bored and searched for something more challenging. I met this amazing, wild, beautiful woman Kailey (aka kdogg). She forced me to come to Farmgirlfit, and it is the BEST thing to ever happen to me!

Words that inspire me?

“I tried carrying the world on my shoulders. Too light add a couple 45s.”

What has been your greatest fitness/performance accomplishment so far?

Last week I PR ‘ed on deadlift. 225lb!

What are your next health and fitness goals?

Not peeing my pants when I jump rope and being able to do a pull-up.

Favorite exercise at FGF is:

Walking to my car when the Grind is over and squat cleans of course.

Favorite workout song?

“Kiss from a Rose” by Seal, and when Jaunessa plays N’Sync AND does the dance from the video…“Bye, Bye, Bye”

My favorite thing about Farmgirlfit is:

The people!!! I have met so many wonderful people; the coaches and other farmgirls are so amazing, I am so blessed to have them in my life. One of the great things about the Farmgirlfit family is there is no judgement placed on anyone, only encouragement. Farmgirlfit is a wonderful family without all the drama. It is truly a welcoming place and it is so much fun.

When the Grind is kicking my butt, I’m thinking…

I should not have eaten so many Cheez-Its.

Guilty pleasure:

Peanut butter and Cheez-Its, and sometimes peanut butter on Cheez-Its.

My favorite post workout meal:

KFC! Just kidding probably more peanut butter.

When you're not pumping iron at FGF, what does the rest of your life look like?

I work a lot, between 40-60 hours a week. I am also a full time student at Eastern and I coach Women's Basketball at Mt. Spokane High School. For fun, I spend every moment I can with my niece Stella, and if Stella is busy, I enjoy roller skating, Salt-n-Pepa concerts, drinking wine at Arbor Crest, and late night Dairy Queen visits with my farmgirl family.  My boyfriend makes me learn new things all the time; recent adventures include skateboarding, paddleboarding, surfing and learning the bass guitar! I also play in the volleyball and basketball adult city leagues and can't wait for Hoopfest!

My trademark dance move:

N’sync’s “Bye Bye Bye”

I’m proud…

To be an American, where at least I know I’m free. I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me.

What advice do you have for new members?

The hardest part is signing up (well, maybe the burpees), but seriously, this is the most welcoming, non judgemental, fun place I have ever experienced. Once you start, you will never want to stop.
