If you could tell your Farmgirlfit story in 100 words or fewer, how would it read?

Started from the bottom now I’m here. But for real, FGF has completely changed my way of thinking about how I should be working out. In the past, it was all about cardio, and the weight room terrified me. Now, when I am on the road and using the hotel gym, I love looking like I know what I am doing…and often times lifting more than the guy next to me!

What has been your greatest fitness/performance accomplishment so far?

Although we by no means crushed it, Savannah Colistro and I participated in the first ever Fittest in the Park competition a few years back. I was in the best shape of my life at that point, and it was still a very humbling experience!

What are your next health and fitness goals?

Get back to doing consistent Level 4 Grinds. Ever since having Jack, I have been slacking!

Favorite exercise at FGF is? Least favorite?

I love anything with arms (push press, pull-ups, etc). Least favorite: BEARS!!

When the Grind is kicking my butt, I’m thinking…

This too shall pass!

Favorite workout song?

My House - Flo Rida

My favorite thing about Farmgirlfit is:

2 things: the people and the workouts. I love meeting different women in the Spokane community, everyone with a different story and background, and all working towards a common goal of getting fit. I love that the workouts are always different and always challenging. The coaches are awesome too! :)

How has the rest of your life been impacted by Farmgirlfit?

I feel healthier and in better shape now than I ever have…even with my post-partum slacking…and I have gained a lot of confidence because of it.

Do you have a funny Farmgirlfit story, or favorite memory?

I love looking back to the days before FGF. While the Spokane gym was still being constructed, Jenni was hosting classes at Manito Park. She would bring out kettlebells for us, and figure out ways to repurpose the jungle gym to make sure we still got our workouts in. I am in awe with the success they have had with the two gyms and keep thinking “they need to franchise this place!”

When you're not pumping iron at FGF, what does the rest of your life look like?

Busy! I travel a lot for work, have an awesome 2 year old who never sits down, and my husband and I play city league volleyball and softball. And that’s just the week days!

My happy place is:

A dive bar singing karaoke

As a kid I dreamt I would grow up to be:

Amongst many other weird career choices, I was set on being an American Gladiator. I think FGF is the closest I will ever get to this “dream”!

Words that inspire me?

“You have the best legs ever”- a coworker once told me that, and I am now very inspired to keep the “best legs ever.”  Hello squats.

Guilty pleasure:

In N’out burger and fries

Team I’m always rooting for:

GU Basketball- Go Zags!

My trademark dance move:

The worm! I have only faceplanted once! :)

Any advice for new members or your fellow farmgirls?

I always tell people, FGF is like a Curves…only WAY better! The classes are fun and always catered to your level. It may look intimidating from the outside, but I promise you will become immediately addicted.
