The owners of Farmgirlfit are all proud Gonzaga alums. The education, experiences, and relationships that developed during their time at the University helped mold their future, one that would eventually lead to the founding of Farmgirlfit.
On the surface Farmgirlfit is a gym (now 2 gyms), but ask anyone who sets foot inside the purple walls, and they'll tell you it's so much more. Some call it a sisterhood, a support system, or social hour. But for all, it is certainly more than just a place they come to sweat. It's a sense of belonging, and the confidence that you are not alone. It's community.
Community is one of the central ideals instilled at Gonzaga, an understanding that you are part of something bigger than yourself. Being part of a community enables the accomplishment of great feats, what you might not be able to achieve on your own. But it also carries great responsibility, to be an active participant. Together we can accomplish more than we would individually, but only if we each do our part.
When their alma mater reached out for an interview, Jenni and Jaunessa leapt at the opportunity to share their story, to share the Farmgirlfit community with the Gonzaga community. Check it out here!
