Ali found her love of fitness, movement, and strength in high school. She was a distance runner and was deeply inspired by one of her track coaches, Sheila Smith. Smith ran a weightlifting program for girls called "Focus on the Female Athlete." And that's where Ali's passion for rap music and Olympic weightlifting began.
She continues to pursue exercise and fitness in a variety of mediums (yoga, running, hiking, weightlifting, etc) for two main reasons: 1. It's FUN and 2. She wants to stay healthy, strong, and mobile for as long as possible, through every season of life. Ali got her yoga teacher certification in 2018, and tries to incorporate that methodology into her FGF coaching.
I LOVE A CHIPPER. Give me lots of cardio, lots of movements, and things to check off. Boom, baby. Throw some cleans and double-unders in there and we have a party.
Of all that I've accomplished as a single-woman: BA and MA degrees, dream truck, home owner, business owner, dog and chicken mom, and traveling the world.
