Tell us about your fitness journey. How did you come to Farmgirlfit?

I have always tried to be healthy and active, but never loved going to the gym (mostly because I had no idea what I was doing!). I joined Farmgirlfit with my friend Caitlin, who got us signed up for our first class. I probably never would’ve tried it without her, but I’m so glad I did! I was hooked from day one. I love the way I feel after the workouts, I love all of the coaches and am inspired by all the other members.

What has been your greatest fitness/performance accomplishment so far?

I completed my first half marathon last October. Farmgirlfit has made me strong in so many ways.

What are your next health and fitness goals?

I want to complete another half marathon - The Las Vegas Rock & Roll Half!

Favorite exercise at FGF is? Least favorite?

I love AMRAPs. Box jumps are my favorite challenge. My least favorite activity - Rowing...

When the Grind is kicking my butt, I’m thinking…

I usually divide all the reps in my head, half of 20 is 10, half of 10 is 5, 5 more sets, you can do this. Farmgirlfit has really made me better at math too! 😂 #butseriously

My favorite thing about Farmgirlfit is:

You show up and it's challenging and fun and you hang out with some awesome women who are powerful and inspiring.

Do you have a funny Farmgirlfit story, or favorite memory?

One of my first couple of months we were running a 400 meter (a loop around the block), and I ran the opposite way. I am bad at directions! Everyone was so nice about it. It was embarrassing, but pretty funny.

How has the rest of your life been influenced/impacted by Farmgirlfit?

I'm healthier overall and I am the strongest I have ever been.

When you're not pumping iron at FGF, what does the rest of your life look like?

We love to travel and go to concerts, hang out with our friends, try new breweries and more recently hang out with our puppy Baxter. I'm also really close with my family who lives in Southern Idaho.

My favorite post workout meal:

I always crave sushi after working out, I think it's mostly the avocado, cucumber and salmon – yum!

You might not know this about me:

I love crafting, creating things and trying new recipes.

Any advice for new members or your fellow farmgirls?

You are capable of more than you think, push yourself and you won't regret it. Also, pro tip 😉: if you get hot like I do, make sure to get a spot under the fan! #yourewelcome
