Brittany is a pilot, a twin, and a [former?] self-titled “cardio queen.” She’s been with us for 2 months, and wants other newbies to know: “it's not as scary as it looks! The girls here are so supportive and want to see you succeed at a pace that is comfortable and safe for you while challenging at the same time.”

Tell us about your fitness journey. How did you come to Farmgirlfit?

I have always been a "cardio queen" and avoided strength training because I didn't know much about it. After driving by FGF a few times I finally got curious enough to google it and liked what I saw, so I signed up for a class and got hooked!

If you could tell your Farmgirlfit story in 100 words or fewer, how would it read?

FGF has begun to teach me about the wide world of strength training and exercise that doesn't involve a treadmill or an elliptical. I’ve only been a member for 2 months, but by becoming familiar with the terms and movements in a comfortable and supportive environment, I've adopted a new and exciting appreciation for an extremely beneficial form of fitness. I used to stress about trying to figure out when and how to work out effectively. FGF has definitely made my life easier in that way (just show up), but is also challenging me in the good ways!

Who/what inspires you to be fit?

Feeling healthy has a happy effect on the soul and that's the foundation needed to excel in everything else. I want to live long and have exciting adventures...and look cute doing it!

What has been your greatest fitness/performance accomplishment so far?

Finishing a half marathon.

What are your next health and fitness goals?

To challenge my body in ways I never have and to love myself by becoming stronger inside and out.

Favorite exercise at FGF is? Least favorite?

Favorite: Ring rows; Least favorite: Burpees

Favorite workout song?

When the Grind is kicking my butt, I’m thinking…

Think how good it will feel to be done! Today I will have moved forward not backward.

My favorite thing about Farmgirlfit is:

The encouraging and supportive female environment...it's also always clean and organized, with no dudes around.

When you're not pumping iron at FGF, what does the rest of your life look like?

I like to incorporate some moderate cardio one to two times a week outside of my FGF workouts. When I have to fly away for work, I'll find a gym or a running trail in a different city and try to keep up the good work. Since my schedule is so inconsistent and I often find myself away from home, I have to be creative and maintain discipline.

My happy place is:

Reading a book on a snowy day.

As a kid I dreamt I would grow up to be:

A pilot…and I am!

Sleeping in...a lot! :)
